FAQ
Most wildlife conflicts can be explained with
two words: food and shelter. Provide them intentionally or
accidentally, and some wild animal will probably accept the invitation.
As human development spreads, wildlife conflicts happen more
frequently. The competition for sources of food and shelter
increases, inviting some wildlife to live and thrive in our world.
Species adapt to these new conditions so well that their populations
rise dramatically, further increasing the chance of a conflict with
people.
We have compiled a list of questions to assist you in making the correct decision concerning your wildlife issues.
However, if you have further questions, please send them to us so that we might address them accordingly.

contact your provider with any questions that you might have.
- Will OWC capture and relocate the
nuisance wildlife?
- Yes.
If a relocation on the species is requested in the service agreement.
The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife and Conservation does not promote
the relocation of any designated nuisance or predatory species due to
several reasons. For example: Release of these species could either
adversely impact the health of wild populations; or could likely become
a nuisance animal again thus passing the problem on to someone else
rather than constituting a solution of the problem.
- Can I perform the service myself?
- Yes.
However, it is not recommended. Performing the service yourself
